Below are some of our favorite spots to grab breakfast in Santa Fe, NM. Dozens of people have stayed at our Airbnb vacation rental, and this is where we send them. We have yet to find anyone who is disappointed after visiting these amazing establishments.
Mille
This is arguably the best place to get French crepes and the best croque monsieur in Santa Fe. Awesome outdoor seating area and great vibes throughout. Nice for both breakfast and brunch. Along with Dolina, this is our favorite place to take new visitors in Santa Fe. Google Directions
Dolina
The vibe is relaxed yet sophisticated. It's a fantastic place to have brunch, grab coffee, and grab some of the best pastries you'll find in Santa Fe. The food exceptional. The baked eggs and the schnitzel, breakfast croissant, pastries, and French toast are some of the best you'll ever have.
Better Day Coffee
This is a local favorite. Chill vibes and a great sense of community. Perfect spot to sit down and work for a few hours on your laptop. Exceptional coffee and some of the tastiest breakfast burritos you can find anywhere. The breakfast burrito and California burrito (my choice for best burrito in Santa Fe) are exceptional.
Craft Donuts
This food truck may have some of the best donuts ever concocted. Flavors include Boston cream, cardamom pistachio, cookies and cream, and funnel cake. Lightly crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy inside. They sever great coffee too.
Boultawn's Bagels
Another local favorite, this spot is famous for the green chile cheese bagel. Great coffee, treats, breakfast or lunch in a unique environment. Try their homemade sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls and apple turnovers. The owners and staff are incredible.
Clafouti's
This family-run French bakery and cafe has crêpes, gaufres (waffles), and les croques available all day. The croques — generously portioned sandwiches of grilled ham on thick, crusty house-made bread, draped with melted Swiss cheese and anointed with rich béchamel sauce — are the stars of the breakfast menu.
Sage Bakehouse
You'll be shocked at how many bakeries and coffee shops exist in Santa Fe. The bread at Sage Bakehouse is perhaps the most famous. The first thing that assuages you when you step out of your car (they have great parking!) is the smell of fresh baked bread. Upon entering you get in line to order from a posted menu- from paninis made from their fresh baked bread to tartlets to soups. Be sure to take a loaf of bread or pastry while you’re there.
Cafe Pasquals
This cafe offers and organic take on New Mexican food and is located right downtown a block away from the Plaza. It has been open for almost 40 years and is a staple of Santa Fe. Open from 8am-3pm for breakfast and also serves dinner. Website
I loved the Craft Donuts! I miss the days I've stayed at Santa Fe, New Mexico, and we've been planning to return by next year through https://santafe-vacationrentals.com/airbnb-santa-fe/. I am also interested in trying Sage Bakehouse, as it was mentioned to me by my friend living there!
